The subject of angels
is fraught
with inconsistencies, confusion, and incorrect teaching.
Presented below are a
significant number of Scripture verses
that address this subject,
along with
the definitions of the actual original language terms
so you can see for
yourself what is correct and what is not.
It's very important that you seek
to discover the Truth, according to YAHWEH's Word,
concerning these very interesting beings.
Don't believe all the
"legends" and "myths"
that float around in the various
cultures of the world.
Most of that stuff is pure fiction.
And a lot of it is
downright dangerous.
The very first thing you need to
know
is what the terms "translated" as 'angel' mean.
There are two basic terms, one
Hebrew and one Greek.
Below are these two terms with their definitions from
Strong's Exhaustive Concordance.
H4397. JKDaVlAm mal'ak, mal-awk´; from an unused root meaning
to
despatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically, of God,
i.e.
an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher):
—ambassador,
angel, king, messenger.
G0032. a‡ggeloß aggelos, ang´-el-os; from ajgge÷llw aggello
(probably derived from 71; compare 34) (to bring
tidings);
a messenger;
especially an “angel”; by implication, a pastor:
—
angel, messenger.
Here's how those terms are "translated" in The King James Bible.
[KEY H4397] - mal'ak - 213 occurrences
ambassador H4397 mal’ak JKDaVlAm =
4
angel H4397 mal’ak JKDaVlAm =
111
messenger H4397 mal’ak JKDaVlAm =
98
[KEY G0032] - aggelos - 186 occurrences
angel G0032 aggelos a‡ggeloß =
179
messenger G0032 aggelos a‡ggeloß =
7
Note:
There are a few additional occurrences,
but they are odd
"translations" of terms
that are really not worthy of consideration
on this topic.
Given
the above definitions there are only two words
that are translated properly, ambassador and messenger.
It is these
two words that are properly translated.
One could also use the term deputy and be reasonably accurate
to
the original meaning of the Hebrew word.
The
use of the term 'angel' comes from the pronunciation of the Greek term.
It
"sounds like" angel, sort of.
The process involved in this is what's
called transliteration
- taking the letters (and/or sounds) in the Greek word
and
simply transferring them into English,
but not actually "translating"
them.
Thus ang'-el'os as noted
above becomes 'angel(s)'.
You
should instantly notice a problem with this.
There is absolutely no Hebrew word
that means 'angel'.
The only Hebrew
word "translated' as 'angel' is mal'ak,
and it means a deputy, a messenger.
Even James Strong got it wrong in using 'angel' in His definition.
The only
place that can come from is from the Greek language,
not the Hebrew language.
Such transformations of words should NEVER
happen!
But they do, and more often than you realize.
It's a source of much
confusion and error!
When
we move to the Greek word we see a similar error.
The primary and proper
definition is a messenger.
Only
by corruption does it become 'angel'.
Then Strong gives us "by
implication, a pastor:"
Yet this word is never translated as 'pastor' in Scripture.
Therefore, even that
comment is misleading.
The
problem appears to be one of eisegesis,
inserting into the text what one believes
rather than stating what the text
actually means in its original form.
This is a commonly used practice in the
production of "Bibles" for resale.
It's used to promote a theological
position
rather than the Truth of YAHWEH.
What you end up with is a "denominationally
approved Bible",
but not a properly or correctly translated one.
The
evidence of this practice is overwhelming.
Properly,
aggelos should always be translated
as messenger.
It should never be translated as 'angel'.
Only in
this manner does one remain faithful to the Greek term used.
Two Types of
Messengers
Most people do not understand
there are two types of messengers
1. Those that belong to YAHWEH.
- we'll refer to
these as YAH-messengers
as necessary for purposes of distinction.
2. Those that belong to Lucifer
- The Adversary and leader of the "fallen messengers”.
At the end of the list of
scriptures dealing with YAHWEH's messengers
is a list of scriptures
dealing with what's traditionally referred to
as "the fallen angels"
-
the ones who rebelled against Him along with Lucifer.
His "fall" was
the result of
His rebellion against YAHWEH
in the midst of his arrogance and selfishness
- wherein he sought to actually become (replace) YAHWEH.
YAH-Messengers were created by Yahweh:
Nehemiah 9:6: You alone are YAHWEH.
You have made The Heaven,
The Heaven of Heavens, with all their host, the earth
and everything on it,
the seas and all that is in them, and You preserve them
all.
The host (assembly) of The Heaven worships You.
Colossians 1:16: (speaking of The Messiah) because by Him everything has
been created;
that which is in the skies and that which is upon the earth,
that
capable of being seen and that not capable of being seen...
YAH-Messengers worship YAHWEH and YAHUSHUA:
Nehemiah 9:6: – above
Philippians 2:9-11: Because of this YAHWEH has also highly exalted Him
and granted to Him a Name which is above every name,
10 that at the Name of YAHUSHUA every knee should bend, Heavenly,
earthly, and subterranean,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that YAHUSHUA,
The Messiah, is Master,
to the honor of YAHWEH, The Father.
Hebrews 1:5-7: Indeed, to which of
the YAH-messengers did He YAHWEH ever say:
“You are My Son. Today I have
begotten You”? (Psa. 2.7)
And again: “I will be to Him a Father, and He will be
to Me a Son”? (2 Sam. 7.14)
6 Then again, when He introduces the firstborn to
the world He says:
“Let all the gods (elohim) worship Him.”
7 And of
the YAH-messengers He says: “
making the
winds His messengers,
those serving Him a blazing fire.” (Psa. 104.4)
YAH-Messengers are not worthy of worship:
Colossians 2.18: Let not even one
defraud you of salvation,
through delighting in false humility and worship of
the YAH-messengers,
intruding into that which he has not discerned clearly,
puffed up without cause for the sake of his fleshly mind,
2:19 and not holding
fast to the Head, from whom the entire body,
through the joints and ligaments
being supplied and being knit together,
is growing by the growth of YAHWEH.
Revelation 19.10: Then I fell at
his feet to worship him.
But he said to me, “Behold! No! I am your fellow
servant, and of your kindred
who have the witness of YAHUSHUA.
Worship YAHWEH!
Indeed, the witness of YAHUSHUA is the nature of prophecy.”
Revelation 22.8: And I, Yahonathan, saw
and heard these things.
And when I had heard and seen I fell down to worship before the feet of the messenger
who had shown me these things.
9 But he said
to me, “Behold! No!
Indeed, I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers, the
prophets,
and of those who protect the words of this book!
Worship YAHWEH!”
YAH-Mssengers are ministering vital essences:
1Kings 19:5-8: And he laid down.
And he slept under a certain juniper tree.
And behold now!
A messenger touched him.
And he said to him, “Get up! Eat!”
mal'ak - to
dispatch as a deputy; a messenger specifically of God.
This is another word which
is erroneously translated by tradition as 'angel’.
The source for this "translation"
is the Greek word aggelos,
which is pronounced ahn-geh-los. It also means messenger.
19.6 And he looked.
And he saw by his head a cake baked on coals and a jar of water.
And he ate and drank.
And he returned.
And he laid down.
19.7 And the messenger of YAHWEH returned the second time
And he touched him.
And he said, “Get up!
Eat because the way is too great for you!”
19.8 And he got up.
And he ate and drank.
And he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights,
as far as the mountain of The
Elohim, Horeb.
Psalms 104:4:
making the
winds His messengers,
those serving Him a blazing fire..
Acts 12:7-11: And behold, a
messenger of YAHWEH was present,
and a light shone in the prison.
Then he nudged
Peter on his side and awakened him saying,
“Stand up quickly!”
And his manacles
fell off his hands.
8 The messenger also said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on
your sandals.”
And so he did.
And he said to him, “Put on your garment and
follow me.”
9 So he went out, following him, and did not understand
that what
was done by the messenger was real,
but seemed he was seeing a vision.
10 Now
having passed the first and the second guard posts,
they came to the iron gate
that leads into the city,
which opened up to them automatically,
and they went
out and proceeded down one street.
And immediately the messenger departed from
him.
11 And Peter, having come to himself said,
“Now I truly understand that YAHWEH has sent His messenger,
and has rescued me out of the hand of Herod
and all
the evil anticipation of the Yisrae’lite people.”
Acts 27:23-24: Indeed, there stood
beside me this very night
a messenger of YAHWEH,
to whom I belong, and
whom I worship
24 saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Sha’ul.
You must be brought before
Caesar.
And indeed YAHWEH has granted you all those who sail with you.’
Hebrews 1:13-14: And to which of
the messengers has He ever said:
“Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your
enemies Your footstool”? (Psa. 110.1)
4 Are they not indeed all beneficent natures,
sent forth to minister for the sake of those who will be
inheriting deliverance?
YAH-Messengers communicate the will of YAHWEH and YAHUSHUA:
Daniel 8:15: And it came to pass,
when I, even I, Daniel,
had seen the vision and sought for the meaning,
then,
behold, there stood before me one as the appearance of a man.
16 And I heard a
man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said,
Gabriel, make
this man to understand the vision.
17 So he came near where I stood: and when
he came, I was afraid,
and fell upon my face: but he said unto me,
Understand,
O son of man: for at the time of the end will be the vision.
Daniel 9:21-23: Indeed, while I
was speaking in prayer,
even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at
the beginning,
being caused to fly swiftly,
touched me about the time of the
evening oblation.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said,
Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill and understanding.
Matthew 2:13: Now having departed,
behold!
A messenger of YAHWEH was seen by Yoseph in a dream, saying,
“Arise! Take the young child and His mother and run away into Egypt.
And stay
there until I tell you because Herod will seek the young child
to completely
destroy Him.”
Matthew 2:19-20: Then Herod being
dead, behold!
A messenger of YAHWEH by means of a dream
was seen by Yoseph in Mitsraim (Egypt) 20 saying, “Arise.
Take the young child and His mother and go
into the land of Yisra’el
because those who sought the young child’s life are
dead.”
Luke 1:19: And the messenger,
responding, said to him,
“I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of YAHWEH.
And I was sent to speak to you and announce to you these glad tidings.
Luke 1:26-35: Now in the sixth
month the messenger, Gabr’iel,
was sent by YAHWEH to a town of The
Galil named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Yoseph,
of the house of David.
And the virgin’s name was Miryam.
28 And the messenger having entered before her, said,
“Rejoice, you are being highly favored!
YAHWEH is with you.
Well spoken of are you among women!”
29 But having seen
him, she was totally disturbed by his message,
and deliberated what
manner of greeting this might be.
30 Then the messenger said to her, “Do not be
afraid, Mary!
Indeed you have found favor with YAHWEH.
31 And behold!
You will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son.
And you are to call His
name YAHUSHUA.
32 He will be great, and will be called The Son of the
Highest.
And YAHWEH, The Elohim, will give to Him the throne of His
forefather, David.
33 And He will rule over the house of Ya’akob (Jacob) forever.
And of
His kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Then Miryam said to the messenger,
“How can
this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the messenger, responding, said to
her,
“The Set Apart Divine Nature of YAHWEH will come upon you,
and the miraculous power of The Highest will overshadow you.
And consequently
The set apart One conceived by you
will be called The Son of YAHWEH.
Acts 8:26-29: Then a messenger of YAHWEH spoke to Philip, saying,
“Arise and travel toward the south upon the road
which goes down from Yerushalaim into Azzah.” (This is a desert.)
27 And he arose
and traveled.
And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch,
an official of Candace,
the queen of the Ethiopians,
who was over all her treasure,
who had come into
Yerushalaim to worship,
28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot,
he was
reading Isaiah the prophet.
29 Then The Divine Nature of YAHWEH said
to Philip,
“Approach and join up with this chariot.”
Revelation 1:1: The Revelation of YAHUSHUA,
The Messiah,
which YAHWEH gave to Him to show His servants;
things which
of necessity will happen rapidly.
And He signified it, sending it by His messenger
to His servant, Yahonathan.
YAH-Messengers listen attentively to the will of
YAHWEH:
Psalms 103:20-21: Bless
YAHWEH, you His messengers,
mighty of
strength,
those doing
His Word
as you are
listening to the sound of His Word!
103:21
Bless YAHWEH, all His assemblies,
those
serving Him,
those doing
His desire!
Matthew 6:10: Let Your kingdom
come!
Let Your will be done upon the earth as it is done in The Heaven.
YAH-Messengers execute the purposes of YAHWEH:
Numbers 22:21: And Bil’am arose at dawn.
And he saddled his she ass itself. את
And he went with the nobles of Mo’ab.
22:22 And The Elohim's anger flared up because he was going.
And YAHWEH’S messenger stationed himself in the way
as an adversary to him.
And he was riding on his she ass.
And his two servants were with
him.
22:23 And the she ass saw the messenger itself את
of YAHWEH stationed in the way.
And his sword was pulled out in his hand.
And the she ass turned aside from the way.
And she went into a field.
And Bil’am struck the she ass itself את to turn her onto the way.
22:24 But the messenger of YAHWEH stood in the opening
between the
vineyard wall from this side to that side.
22:25 And the she ass saw the messenger itself את of YAHWEH.
And she pressed against the
wall.
And she pressed Bil’am’s foot itself את against the wall.
And again he struck her.
22:26 And the messenger of YAHWEH again passed over
and stood in a narrow place where there was no way to turn right or left.
22:27 And the she ass saw
the messenger itself את of YAHWEH.
And she crouched down beneath
Bil’am.
And Bil’am’s anger flared up.
And he struck the she ass itself את with his staff.
Matthew 13:41: The Son of
Man will send out His messengers
and they will gather out of His Kingdom
everything that offends,
even those who practice lawlessness,
42 and will throw
them into the furnace of fire.
There will be lamentation and grating of the
teeth.
Matthew 28:2-6: And behold! A
great earthquake happened
Indeed, a messenger of YAHWEH descended from
Heaven,
rolled the stone away from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance
was like lightning, and his clothing white like snow.
4 And because of the fear
of him the guards shook and became as though dead.
5 But the messenger responded,
saying to the women,
“Do not be afraid! Indeed I understand that you seek YAHUSHUA Who was crucified.
6 He is not here.
Indeed, He has been raised up just as He said.
Come here! See the place where
The Master laid!
John 5:4: because a YAH-messenger came
down
according to a set time to the pool and stirred up the water.
Then the one
who entered first after the stirring of the water
became healthy of whatever
infirmity held him.
YAH-Messengers execute the judgments of YAHWEH:
2 Samuel 24:16: And the messenger stretched out His hand to Yerushalaim
for the sake of destroying it.
But YAHWEH was sorry concerning the harm.
And He said to the messenger, the destroyer of the people,
“Enough now!
Ease Your hand!”
And the messenger of YAHWEH
was beside the threshing floor of Araunah, the Yebusite.
24.17 And David spoke to YAHWEH
as he saw the messenger himself את smiting the people.
And he said, “Behold!
I have offended!
And I have done wrong!
But these sheep, what have they done?
Please let Your hand be against me and against my father’s house."
2 Kings 19:35: And it was on that night itself.
And a messenger of YAHWEH went out.
And he struck in the encampment of Ashshur
one hundred and eighty five thousand.
And they rose up early in the morning.
And behold! All of them were
corpses.
Psalms 35:5: Let them be
as chaff before the face of the wind
even a messenger of YAHWEH chasing them!
Acts 12:23: Then instantly a
messenger of YAHWEH struck him
because he did not give the honor to YAHWEH.
And he became diseased with maggots and died.
Revelation 16:1: And I heard a
loud voice from The Temple
saying to the seven messengers, “Go out and pour out
the bowls
of the indignation of YAHWEH upon the earth."
YAH-Messengers Celebrate the praises of YAHWEH:
Isaiah 6:2-3: Above Him were standing seraphim.
Each one had six wings.
With two he covered his face.
With two he covered his feet.
And with two he flew.
3 And one called out to another and said,
“Set apart, set apart, set apart is YAHWEH of
Assemblies.
All the earth is filled with His splendor!”
[Seraphim are a special class of messengers,
generally seen as bright and
shining,
often associated with flames of fire.
Cherubim are another special class of messengers,
normally found guarding the Throne of YAHWEH.]
Luke 2:13-14: And suddenly there
was with the YAH-messenger
a multitude of a heavenly host praising YAHWEH and
saying,
14 “Honor to YAHWEH in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill
to human beings!”
Revelation 5:11-13: Then I looked.
And I heard the sound of many messengers surrounding the throne,
the living
animals, and the elders.
And the number of them was ten thousand times ten
thousand;
even thousands of thousands,
12 saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is
The Lamb who was slaughtered
to receive power and wealth and wisdom,
and
strength and honor and magnificence and blessing!”
13 And every creature which
is in The Heaven
and on the earth and under the earth and such as are upon the
sea
and all that are in it I heard saying:
“Blessing and honor and glory and
dominion be to Him Who sits on the throne,
and to The Lamb, into the ages of
eternity!”
Revelation 7:11-12: And all the messengers stood around the throne,
and the elders and the four living beings.
And they
fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped YAHWEH,
12 saying,
“Amen! Blessing and honor and wisdom and thanksgiving
and preciousness and
power and might,
be to our Elohim into the ages of eternity. Amen!”
The Torah was given through the ministering of YAH-Messengers:
Acts 7:52-53: Which of the
prophets did your fathers not persecute?
They have even killed those who
predicted the coming of The Just One,
of Whom you have now become the betrayers
and murderers.
53 Those who received The Torah by the arrangement of YAH-messengers,
yet have not preserved it.
Hebrews 2:1- 5: Because of this it
is necessary
that we give superabundant attention to the things we have been
hearing
lest at any time we carelessly miss them.
2 Indeed, if the message
spoken through YAH-messengers became certain,
and every violation and
disobedience received a just repayment,
3 then how will we escape if we are
careless about a deliverance as great as this,
which you first received as
being spoken by The Master;
and it has been confirmed by us to whom you have
been listening,
4 YAHWEH also having testified even by signs and wonders,
and
by various miraculous powers,
and distributions of the set apart Divine Nature of
YAHWEH according to His own will?
5 Indeed, He has not subjected to YAH-messengers the world to come, of which we speak.
YAH-Messengers announced the following events:
The conception of YAHUSHUA in Matthew 1:20-21 and Luke 1:31.
The birth of YAHUSHUA in Luke 2:10-12.
The resurrection of YAHUSHUA in Matthew 28:5-7 and Luke 24:23.
The ascension and second coming of YAHUSHUA in Acts 1:11.
The conception of Yahonathan the Baptizer in Luke 1:13 and 36.
YAH-Messengers ministered to YAHUSHUA:
Matthew 4:11: Then the false
accuser left Him alone.
And behold! YAH-messengers came and attended to Him.
Luke 22:43: Then a YAH-messenger appeared to Him from The Heaven, strengthening Him.
John 1:51: And he said to him,
"Truly, truly, I say to you,
after this day you will see The Heaven
opening,
and the messengers of YAHWEH ascending and descending upon the
Son of man."
YAH-Messengers are subject to YAHUSHUA's authority:
Ephesians 1:19-22: and 19 what
is the surpassing magnitude of His miraculous power
toward us who are trusting,
according to the effectiveness of His vigorous strength
20 which He actively
demonstrated in The Messiah
when He raised Him up from being dead
and seated
Him at His right hand in The Heavens,
21 far above every first thing, and every
privilege, and every force, and every authority,
and every
name that is being named, not only in this age but also in that which is to
come,
22 and has subordinated everything under His feet,
and has given Him as
The Head over the entire assembly.
Colossians 1:16-17: because by Him
everything has been created,
that which is in the skies and that which is on
the earth,
that capable of being seen and that not capable of being seen,
whether thrones or dominions or first in rank or authorities.
Everything has
been created through Him and for His sake.
17 And He is above everything, and
by Him everything is held together.
Colossians 2:9-10: because in Him
resides permanently
all the fullness of the divinity bodily.
10 And you are
complete in Him,
who is the head of all principality, first in rank, rule, and
authority,
1 Peter 3:21-22: …because of the
resurrection of YAHUSHUA, The Messiah;
22 who has gone into The Heaven
and is at the right hand of YAHWEH,
YAH-messengers and authorities and
powers having been made subject to Him.
YAH-Messengers will accompany YAHUSHUA at His second coming:
Matthew 25:31-33: Now when The Son
of Man comes in His splendor
and all the set apart messengers with Him,
at that
time He will sit down upon the throne of His splendor.
32 And before Him will
be gathered together all the nations.
And He will separate them from each other
just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 And He will stand the
sheep on His right hand,
but the goats on the left hand.
Mark 8:38: Indeed, whoever is
ashamed of Me and My words
in this adulterous and offensive generation,
of him the
Son of Man also will be ashamed
when He comes in the splendor of His Father
with the set apart messengers.”
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10: and to repay
you who are being troubled
with relief among us at the revelation of The
Master, YAHUSHUA, from Heaven
with His mighty messengers;
8 in blazing
fire delivering retribution upon those
who do not recognize YAHWEH,
and
upon those
who are not paying attention to the good news
of our Master, YAHUSHUA,
The Messiah.
9 These will pay the price of justice by means of eternal
destruction
away from the presence of YAHWEH
and away from the
magnificence of His might
10 when He comes; being honored by His set apart ones
and being marveled at by all those who are trusting at that time
because our
testimony concerning Him has been believed.
YAH-Messengers delight in the gospel of YAHUSHUA:
Ephesians 3:8-12: To me, who am
less than the least of all the set apart ones,
this favor was granted,
that I
should proclaim among the Gentiles
the unsearchable riches of The Messiah,
9
and to illuminate for everyone what is the partnership of the mystery,
which from eternity
has been concealed by YAHWEH,
who created everything through YAHUSHUA,
The Messiah;
10 in order that now the many variations of the wisdom of YAHWEH
might be made known through the assembly
to the chief rulers and
authorities in The Heavens,
11 according to the eternal proposal
which
He accomplished in The Messiah, YAHUSHUA, our Master,
12 by whom we have
boldness and access in confidence because of His faith.
1Timothy 3:16: And without
controversy,
great is the mystery of deep devotion to YAHWEH.
he Elohim has been rendered apparent in flesh,
rendered
just in nature,
gazed upon by YAH-messengers,
proclaimed by Gentiles,
believed on in the world,
taken up into honor.
1Peter 1:12: To them it was
revealed that not to themselves, but to us,
they were ministering the things
which now have been announced in detail to you
through those who have
proclaimed the good news to you
through The Set Apart Divine Nature of YAHWEH sent from Heaven,
things which YAH-messengers long to look into.
YAH-Messengers rejoice when one sinner repents:
Luke 15:10: Likewise, I say to you
joy happens in the presence of the messengers of YAHWEH
over one sinner
who repents.
YAH-Messengers keep watch over the children of YAHWEH:
Psalms 34:7: The
messenger of YAHWEH
encamps all
around those revering Him.
And he delivers
them.
Psalms 91:9-12: Indeed, You
Yourself את, YAHWEH are My refuge!
You have
established The Most High as your
dwelling place,
91:10 No harm
will happen to you,
and a
plague will not come near your tent
91:11 because
He will give direction to His
messengers concerning you,
for the
sake of protecting you in all your ways.
91:12 Upon
their hands they will lift you up
lest you strike
your foot against a stone.
Daniel 6:22: My Elohim (god) has
sent His messenger,
and has shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me:
forasmuch as before Him innocency was found in me;
and also before you, O king,
have I done no hurt.
Matthew 18:10: Pay attention that
you do not despise one of these little ones.
Indeed I say to you that in The
Heavens their messengers
are always looking at the face of My Father Who is in
The Heavens.
YAH-Messengers belong to a different order of creation than man:
Isaiah 6:1-2 In the year of King Uzziyahu's death,
then I saw YAHWEH Himself את
sitting on a throne,
exalted and lifted up.
And the hem of His robe filled The Temple itself את.
2 Above Him were standing seraphim.
Each one had six wings.
With two he covered his face.
With two he covered his feet.
And with two he flew.
1 Thessalonians 4:16: because The
Master Himself
will descend from The Heaven with a shout,
with the sound of a
chief YAH-messenger,
and with the trumpet of YAHWEH,
and the dead in The
Messiah will be raised up first.
1 Peter 3:22: Who is gone into
Heaven,
and is at the right hand of YAHWEH,
messengers and authorities
and powers
having been made subject unto Him.
Jude 1:9: Yet Michael, the chief YAH-messenger,
while opposing the false accuser when he disputed about the body of Moshe
dared
not bring against him a reviling condemnation,
but instead said, “YAHWEH rebuke
you!”
Revelation 12:7-8: Then warfare
happened in The Heaven.
Michael and his messengers battled with the dragon.
And
the dragon and his messengers battled,
8 but they had no strength,
nor was a
place found for them in The Heaven any longer.
(Note the reference here to the messengers of the dragon. There are
bad-messengers also.)
YAH-Messengers are innumerable:
Job 25:3: Is there any number of his hosts?
Hebrews 12:22: On the other hand,
you have come to Mount Zion
and to the city of The Living Elohim,
to The
Heavenly Yerushalaim,
and to a myriad of YAH-messengers,
These are the activities of YAHWEH's true
messengers.
If you encounter anything else rest assured it is not of YAHWEH.
There is another category of messengers - see below.
FALLEN MESSENGERS:
These are the former
YAH-Messengers who rebelled against Him
and were cast out of The Heaven along with Lucifer (Satan).
Isaiah 14:12-15: How you
have fallen from The Heavens,
Morning Star, son of the dawn!
You have been cut down to the ground,
you who weakened the nations!
13 And you yourself את have said in your
heart,
‘I will ascend to The Heavens!
Higher than the stars of The El I will raise
up my throne!
And I will sit on the mountan of assembly
on the borders of the north!
14 I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds.
I will be as The Elyon (The Highest)!
15 However, to She'ol you have been brought
down,
to the borders of The Pit.
Jude 6: Even the messengers who
did not protect their beginning,
but instead abandoned their own dwelling place,
He has imprisoned with everlasting chains under gloom
until the judgment of the
great day.
Luke 10.18: And He said unto them,
I beheld The Adversary falling like lightning from The Heaven.
Revelation 12.7-9: Then warfare
happened in The Heaven.
Michael and his messengers battled with the dragon.
And
the dragon and his messengers battled,
8 but they had no strength,
nor was a
place found for them in The Heaven any longer.
9 So the great dragon was thrown
out,
the ancient serpent called The Devil and Satan,
who deceives the whole
world.
2 Peter 2.4: Indeed, if YAHWEH did
not spare the messengers who sinned,
but instead has incarcerated them in
eternal torture
having delivered them into chains of gloom to be guarded until
judgment,
Matthew 25.41: Then He will also
say to those on the left hand,
‘Go away from Me, you cursed, into the eternal
fire prepared
for the false accuser and his messengers.
Genesis 6.1-5: And it was when human beings began to multiply on the surface of the soil.
And daughters were born to
them.
2 And the divine beings (fallen YAH-messengers)
saw the daughters themselves of the human beings,
that they themselves were beautiful.
And they took for themselves women, any whom they chose.
3
And YAHWEH said, My breath will not remain in a human being forever,
inasmuch as he exists as flesh.
Now his days will be a hundred and twenty years."
4
The Nephilim existed on earth in those days; and also after that,
who went in to the daughters of human beings.
And they bore to these same ones the mighty ones of old,
men of "ha-shem" renown
5 And YAHWEH saw
that abundant harm of the human being was in the land,
and that every form of the contrivances of his heart was only evil all the day.
Note: The ‘divine beings' referred to in this last passage
are actually fallen messengers
who left their first estate (Heaven) and came to earth.
Here they actually took women from among the people on earth and had children with them.
These children
are the source of the "giants" - actually a unique race often
referred to as the Nephilim.
They were half human, half supernatural.
It was
some of these offspring that David fought and killed (Goliath).
This is NOT a
'fairy tale'. It is recorded as absolute Truth in The Word of YAHWEH.
These were known as “men of the name”, renown,
and are the source of the mythological “heroes” of old.
Sadly, the term, ha-shem, has been transformed into a replacement for the Name, YAHWEH,
by His own chosen people.
2 Corinthians 11.13-15: Indeed,
such are false ambassadors,
deceitful workers, transforming themselves into
ambassadors of The Messiah.
14 And this is nothing to be wondered a
because Satan himself disguises himself as a messenger of illumination.
15 Accordingly, it is no great thing if
his servants
are also disguised as servants of right actions,
whose end will be
according to their works.
We must be careful not to confuse YAHWEH’s true messengers
with those that pretend to be His angels, or with fallen
angels - evil, defiled beings.
The potential consequences can go far beyond
what you might think.
In these days we are warned that some will come to us
"masquerading as angels of light"
- to deceive even the elect of YAHWEH, if
possible.
